YORK (September 29, 2004) – Vanity Fair Magazine
and DKNY//JEANS announced today that they will partner
to present Vanity Fair “In Concert,” a bi-coastal
all-star music celebration in New York City
on Thursday, October 21, and in Los Angeles on Saturday,
October 23. The third annual Vanity Fair “In Concert”
program benefits Step Up Women’s Network,
an organization dedicated to raising funds and awareness for issues
critical to women concerning health, breast and ovarian cancers, victims
of domestic violence, and the mentoring of under-served children. Tickets
will be available through Ticketmaster at (212) 307-7171 or at www.ticketmaster.com
starting Wednesday, September 29 for New York, and Thursday, September
30 for Los Angeles.
Camp Freddy, an all-star band headed by Dave
Navarro (Jane’s Addiction, Red Hot Chili Peppers), Billy
Morrison (the Cult), Chris Chaney (Jane’s
Addiction), Stephen Perkins (Jane’s Addiction,
Porno for Pyros) and Donovan Leitch, along with Lou
Reed and The Roots, will perform at the New
York show, October 21, at Irving Plaza, hosted by Kyra Sedgwick.
The evening will also feature Fred Schneider (B52s)
and DJ Sky Nellor. Macy Gray, Terri Nunn, and Stephen
Jenkins (Third Eye Blind) will then join Camp Freddy for a special performance
in Los Angeles on October 23 at the Wiltern Theater. Aisha Tyler will
host the show with a special performance by DJ Samantha Ronson.
